LGtC: Thieves Guild
Progress is moving forward every week with Legionnaire's Guide to Cyrodiil. 24 of the last 27 posts have shown what's coming, and there's still a lot more to go.
Since October, we've been showcasing 2 new subclasses and new monsters every single week. There are still more subclasses and monsters to see, but we're going to change things up a bit at the start of the year. Over the next couple of months, we'll be seeing one of the well known guilds of the Empire instead of subclasses. And instead of monsters, we'll be checking out new items, artifacts, and eventually spells.
Guilds of Cyrodiil
Legionnaire's Guide to Cyrodiil will feature 8 guilds from the Empire. Each guild will be represented in a similar fashion to the Guilds of Ravnica, if you are familiar with Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica. If not, that's perfectly fine! Everything you need to know will be included. Each will provide some history of the guild, what you can expect of them, and what they will expect of you as a guild member.
If you want your character to have a deeper connection with your guild, there are new backgrounds for the various guilds—though the features that they provide could be something that makes sense for any member of the guild. Joining and advancing through the guilds lets characters grow their influence, and sometimes highlights their training. Each guild has 4 ranks, which mostly allow the player to have more narrative control over the guild itself, possibly even rising to the rank of Guildmaster. Some of the guilds might have more mechanical benefits than others, especially depending on their particular skills and talents, but the real strength is giving narrative control to the player to help tell their character's story.
