Shadows Over Skyrim
To celebrate Skyrim's 10th anniversary, we've been working really hard to have this ready to celebrate today. The last week has been a whirlwind of activity getting everything in place, and we are so excited to be able to share this with you today.
Skyrim has meant so much to so many of us. In the past 10 years, I have been able to meet so many people who share such a deep passion for the Elder Scrolls. And for so many of those people, Skyrim was their introduction to this world. From the people I've met through this project, to amazing people that are a part of the community like Elder Memes and the fine folks at UESP. I'm not terribly social IRL or on social media, but I am very thankful for the friendships I've made within the community.
This project is deeply meaningful to me because it's a way to express my love for the series with one of the best and well remembered installments. It's also important because this is the first release for the project that has been put into book form that doesn't have my name at the top, which I am incredibly thankful for. This is a passion project that is not monetized. It has been a labor of love, with thousands of hours being placed into on weekends and evenings. I am so thankful to be able to share this passion with people who are also willing to put their free time and energy into making wonderful work for this project.
I want to put a special thank you forward to Gugu and Swampy, who really pushed hard in the last while to turn this into a reality. Gugu lead much of the project, making sure whatever needed getting done got done. Gugu put everything into layout, creating a new perfect palette and custom graphics to suit the setting, all while organizing the completion of all the writing. Swampy came forward to fill in everything that needed getting done. Feedback, last minute writing, edits. Anything that was needed. Even writing during classes just to get stuff done. I am blown away by their excitement for the project.
Of course, they're not the only ones who helped make this happen. This was a huge group effort with writing from many members of the community: Crimson, Whistlehunter, JasonHunter, Juanchoclo, MinimanC, Nevaero, Sam Bertolli, TheVileClavicus, and TheWhiteGuar.

While this already looks amazing, we're still working toward making it the best it can be. We already have been discussing ways to make it better: art suggestions, further graphics, even new content.
