LGtC: Barbarian Subclass Preivew
As we're ramping up editing and layout, we're getting ready to showcase more of the work that has been completed on the project.
When I reached out in January, I didn't know what to expect from the community. A few months went past with a couple of people reaching out intermittently, but no real momentum. I initially thought there really wasn't going to be much interest, which was fine. Generally everything previously had been created by just me, and it felt pretty obvious that would continue. And fair enough! It's a lot of work—and it wouldn't be fair to push that on to anyone.
Then, suddenly, everything changed. A few people started posting some ideas, more and more people were asking to be involved and how they could help, and pages and pages of new ideas were being posted every week. I couldn't keep up with everything that was going on! Some people were so enthusiastic that side projects are beginning to move forward outside of the main project. I never could have imagined that!
The first preview of the subclasses that is coming to Legionnaire's Guide to Cyrodiil highlights two of the three new barbarian subclasses:
The Path of the Fearless, a barbarian subclass that gains powers from magical markings.
Path of the Vanguard, a barbarian subclass focuses on rigorous combat training.

And for something completely different, over the summer I had been working with a team called Action Fiction for their next 5e compatible setting book. It's a bit of a shit-posty style parody of American culture. As a Canadian, it was and interesting experience that was heightened by how awesome the whole team was. These are truly amazing people who have made big difference in my life, even though we only spent a couple of months working together over the summer.
